I hanged up the call because tears were running down my chin and I can't afford to let her know that I wasn't a man enough to hold back my tears.
In fact for my entire life, that was the first time I felt that somebody really cared about me. Apart from my mother, nobody has ever cared so much to do anything just to make me happy until Sellina told me that.
Instead of being angry at Sellina, I became so angry at myself for not opening my eyes enough to see that whatever she was doing was just her own way of getting my attention and to make me happy.
That was the moment I got to know that in this world, whenever you think someone is bad, they will always be bad before you. If you start counting the good deeds of people instead of counting only the mistakes they make, you will surely see the good side of them.
I was only concentrating on the fact that Sellina paints her face and wears mini skirts, which to me is the characteristics of a bad girl. I was never thinking about the kind of heart she has.
I looked on my phone after thinking about so many things. I saw 5 missed calls again from Sellina. In times like this, I can't talk so I went into my sms and I composed a new SMS that reads;
"Sellina, I am very sorry if I have hurt you this evening. I have not fall in love with anyone before and I don't want to fall in love with you because I am already in love with your friend but I just can't tell her. Please I am not angry at you. I really like you and I want you to be my best friend."
Then I hit the send key.
The next minute, I received another message that reads. "Its okay dear, I understand you perfectly."
I smiled and sent another. Then we exchanged messages over, over and again that night until I checked time and it was 1:30AM that was when I sent my goodnight message and went to bed.
Did I say "went to bed"?
No, I didn't go to bed at all. I was just laying down so confused. I didn't know how it feels to love someone or to like someone.
I didn't know whether I was loving Sellina or liking her. I was so so confused and I couldn't sleep over the thoughts.
The next time I checked the time again, it was 5am so I got up, took my bath and prepared breakfast. In an hour time, I was set for work and I hopped into a taxi and off to work.
It was Saturday morning so the town was so flashy with all these keep fit clubs trotting along the roads everywhere.
As I got to the shop, I saw Dede and Sellina trotting back home. Sellina, more like one of those estate girls you see around, Dede on the other hand, looks just like a perfect footballer.
I looked at them and they were also looking at me as they walk towards the shop. I was a bit shy as they were coming closer and closer so I entered the shop.
Within some minutes, they were at the shop. I was hiding deep inside the shop but Sellina walked straight to me and tapped my shoulder and whispered;
"Joe! I have brought your woman. Go and tell her how you feel about her."
All of a sudden, I started sweating and I was very quiet. Then Sellina looked at me for a while and whispered;
"Since you can't tell her yourself, I'm going to tell her for you."
Then she left walking towards the door way where Dede was waiting for her.
"Yesu!!!"
